Coordinator of K-12 Student Support Services (Assistant Principal)The Schalmont Central School District is very excited to recruit for the position of K-12 Coordinator (Assistant Principal) for Student Support Services. This position will fall within the Assistant Principal tenure area, and will report to both the Director of Academic and Instructional Support Services, as well as the Executive Principal Leadership Team. The successful candidate should possess their School Building or School District Leader Certification, and have a background in special education or a closely related field. This individual will lead both the Committee on Special Education process, supervise the CSE implementation/chairing process (including the chairing of meetings), and lead various departments as assigned (school psychologists, social work, speech, etc.). The individual will also serve as the leader of each building's Student Support Team, and be a champion for ensuring students receive the opportunity and support (as applicable) they deserve.The Schalmont Central School District consists of approximately 1800 students, three buildings, and two campuses. This position is 12 months with a very generous benefit/compensation package, with tremendous opportunity for future career growth.
