The South Colonie School District is seeking an ENL Teacher to fill a substitute/long-term substitute position at the Elementary School level beginning February 2023.OPENING: (1) ENL Teacher-Elementary SchoolSTART DATE: February 2023GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:Our ideal candidates should have;ESOL/TESOL NYS Certification (Dual certifications in Special Education a plus).Elementary level teaching experiences and familiarity with the culturally relevant needs of ELL’s.Knowledge of state and federal standards as it pertains to ELL’s.Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole. Awareness and experience with relative technology software programs.Creativity, attention to cultural awareness and insight into core curriculum. Our district serves a diverse community where there are over twenty-five native languages spoken among our student population. The district’s goal is to offer unlimited learning opportunities and maintain high student expectations for success.SALARY AND BENEFITS:Per diem substitute for 20 days, then long term substitute on Schedule and Step per the South Colonie Teachers’ Association Contract.
