The South Colonie School District is seeking a Grade 6 Teacher to fill a substitute/long-term substitute position at the Middle School level beginning January 2023. OPENING: (1) Grade 6 Teacher-Middle School START DATE: Effective January 2023 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Our ideal candidates should have; Childhood Education Teacher NYS Certification (Grades 1-6) with math/science content background preferred. Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole. Strong classroom management skills. BENEFITS AND SALARY: Per diem substitute for 20 days, then long term substitute on Schedule and Step per the South Colonie Teachers’ Association Contract.
