The South Colonie School District is seeking a MS Special Education Grade 6 Teacher and a HS Special Education Teacher Grades 9-12 to fill substitute/long-term substitute positions at the Middle School level and High School Level beginning September 2022. OPENINGS: (1) Special Education Teacher – Middle School (Grade 6) (1) Special Education Teacher – High School (Grades 9-12) START DATE: Effective September 2022 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Our ideal candidates should have; Special Education Teacher Grade 6 NYS Certification and/or Grades 9-12 Certification. Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole. Awareness and experience with relative technology mediums would be ideal. Creativity and insight into core curriculum. SALARY AND BENEFITS:Per Diem substitute for 20 days, then long term substitute on Schedule and Step per the South Colonie Teachers’ Association Contract.
