Assistant Principal - Fox Meadow Elementary SchoolThe Scarsdale Public Schools seeks exemplary candidates for the position of Assistant Principal at Fox Meadow Elementary School. Beginning in grade two, students receive Spanish language instruction, enhancing their global awareness and communication skills. Our school-wide approach to social emotional learning is grounded in the Responsive Classroom practices. Fox Meadow has an enrollment of approximately 500 students, and an active, supportive parent body. The position of Elementary Assistant Principal requires an educator with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in the areas of teaching and leadership (informal and/or formal). The successful candidates will:possess a thorough understanding of elementary level education and the development of young readers, writers, problem-solvers, and thinkers,provide instructional leadership, and assist in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of educational programs,collaborate with the principal, faculty, staff, students, and parents to promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that fosters mutual respect,model and promote critical and creative thinking,be a strong advocate for children,hold, or be eligible for, SAS or SBL certification.The anticipated start date is July1, 2025.
