Work involves laying out and painting athletic fields, mowing, trimming, snow plowing, and other grounds-related tasks.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES: Ability to plan and supervise the work of others. Thorough knowledge of the accepted procedures and practices of grounds and athletic field maintenanceGood knowledge of the proper use, care, and repair of grounds equipment and vehicleGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishAbility to effectively use computer applications such as e-mail, Word, and ExcelAbility to operate athletic fields and grounds-related equipmentMonitor, report, and resolve field issues such as turf stress, disease, and irrigation problemsPerform preventative maintenance operations on various equipmentAbility to perform the physical tasks required to carry out the job responsibilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
