Location: Sayville High School Salary: $21.15 per hour + $1.00 per hour for hygiene Days: Monday – Friday Hours: 9:15 AM - 2:45 PM Start Date: ASAP Sayville School District is looking for a caring, student-centered Aide to provide support to a student with special needs at Sayville High School. This is a vital role in ensuring the student’s progress and successful participation in their school experience. Duties will include: Personal Care Support: Provide respectful and discreet assistance, specifically with toileting, as needed throughout the school day. Mobility Assistance: Help the student safely navigate the school building, including transitions between classes and walking to and from various locations (i.e.: cafeteria, related service sessions). Classroom Assistance: Provide general support and assistance within the classroom as directed by the teacher. Communication: Maintain consistent communication with teachers and administration regarding the student’s progress and any concerns throughout the day. Qualifications: Ability to assist with toileting and mobility. A genuine desire to support students with special needs and a patient and caring attitude. The ability to work with a team and work under the direction of the administrators, teachers, and related service providers. Previous experience is not required.
