Elementary Enrichment Teacher - Probationary PositionLocations: Elementary Schools - Cherry Ave, Sunrise Drive & Lincoln Ave Position: Elementary Enrichment Teacher (K – 5) Probationary PositionSalary: As per STA contract Start Date: As soon as possible Qualifications: NYS Certification in Elementary Education. The District is looking for a creative and energetic elementary teacher to enrich the classroom experience of students in grades 4 and 5. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues; utilize a student-centered approach; work with students in small groups and present lessons that promote the development of higher order, critical thinking skills. These lessons will incorporate problem based learning strategies with an emphasis on written expression. This teacher will differentiate instruction with an emphasis on meeting the needs of students who demonstrate high levels of ability, commitment, and creativity. Instructional Technology will be used to support the acquisition of academic and career skills.
