Sauquoit Valley Central School District is in search of a Director of Special Education. Qualifications: 1. Comprehensive curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development experience supporting all students. 2. Expertise in strategic planning, decision-making and team facilitation, leadership and organizational skills. 3. Minimum of five years of experience in teaching or a related field. 4. Certification as a New York State School District Administrator with a background in special education or related field. Candidate will report directly to the Superintendent of Schools. The Director will have other duties and responsibilities such as being a chairperson for committee meetings, plan and direct special education programs, work on grants, reports, state aid forms & STACS.
