Stipend Title: Auditorium Audio & Lighting Technician (Internal Job Posting) School: Jr. / Sr. High School Stipend: $2,200 Position Description: The Auditorium Audio & Lighting Technician is responsible for supporting the technical production needs of school and district events held in the auditorium. This stipend position ensures the effective setup, operation, and breakdown of the auditorium’s sound, lighting, and related technical systems to support performances, presentations, and assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Operate and manage the auditorium’s sound and lighting systems for school events (e.g., concerts, theatrical productions, assemblies, ceremonies, and community events as assigned). Coordinate with event organizers, music and drama staff, and building administration to determine technical needs prior to events. Set up microphones, soundboards, lighting cues, and other technical equipment for performances and presentations. Conduct sound and lighting checks and troubleshoot technical issues before and during events. Maintain basic oversight of auditorium audio/visual and lighting equipment, reporting malfunctions or repair needs to administration. Assist with training or supervising the student stage crew and/or assistants when applicable. Ensure equipment is properly shut down and secured after events. Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of basic soundboard operation, microphones, stage lighting, and auditorium audio/visual systems. Experience supporting live performances or school productions preferred. Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends based on the event schedule.
