Position: MTSS Coordinator (K-12) 7/1/25 - 6/30/27 - Internal Candidates OnlyQualifications: Valid teaching or specialist license (required)Experience with MTSS, RTI, SEL, or similar support systemsStrong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and teamworkAbility to lead and support adult learnersPositive attitude and strong communication skillsEffective Date: Two-Year Appointment Pro-rated based on the date of Board Approval 7/1/25-6/30/2027Salary: STA ContractNO REDUCTION CLASS/CASE LOAD Apply Online Only: Position Function:An MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Coordinator is responsible for leading and implementing a system of support for students with diverse needs, focusing on academic, social-emotional, and behavioral well-being. They coordinate data collection, professional development, and intervention planning across different tiers of support, working collaboratively with school staff and administrators. Essential FunctionsWorks with the Deputy or Assistant Superintendent in developing a district-wide vision for MTSS and the criteria to assess programmatic goals.Lead the professional development and implementation of MTSS in the district or school.Exhibit fluency with iReady, Science of Reading, and the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards in Mathematics and Literacy K-8.Support teachers in using data to identify student needs and match support to those needs.Help design and organize Tier 1 (whole class), Tier 2 (small group), and Tier 3 (intensive) interventions.Work with student support teams to track progress and adjust interventions as needed.Provide training and coaching for teachers and staff on MTSS tools and best practices.Keep clear records of student data, supports, and outcomes.Support positive behavior systems and strategies.Help communicate with families about supports and student progress.Work with school leaders to make sure MTSS is part of the school’s daily work.Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings, or by conducting research.Additional DutiesPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
