Position Title: Maintenance Foreman Stipend -Internal Candidates only Classification: Temporary Term: Effective July 1, 2024 through the earlier of the District hiring a Director of Facilities, or December 31, 2024. May be extended beyond December 31, 2024, by the District.Contract Aligned to: CSEA Compensation: Stipend of $9,000 for period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. Stipend is pro-rated for work of less than a full year. Immediately Responsible to: Business Manager Minimum Qualifications: Currently appointed Building Maintenance Worker I or Building Maintenance Worker 2 Job Summary or Functions: Duties may include but are not limited to: Coordinates Buildings and Grounds work orders and scheduling/prioritizationEnsures equipment is appropriately inventoried and maintainedHas knowledge of a full range of building systems (e.g. HVAC, plumbing, electrical)Reviews and signs Buildings & Grounds purchase ordersProcures supplies from local vendors/retailers for immediate maintenance tasksConsults with the Business Official regarding Buildings & Grounds contracts and service providers Responds to buildings and operations emergency service/repair requestsServes as the main contact for Fire and Security Alarms Coordinates fire and other inspections performed by BOCES and vendors/service providersMeets with building leaders as needed regarding building specific needsServe on District Facilities Committee Serve on District Safety Committee Attends Capital Project meetings and collaborates with contractors, construction managers, and architects for related planning and development tasksServe as the main contact for Custodians Assist with custodian substitute coverage as needed
