Position: K-12 Professional Development Coordinator (Internal Applicants Only)Qualifications: State Certification/License as a Teacher or Related Service ProfessionalFamiliarity with Curriculum Standards and Best Practices for Professional DevelopmentEffective Date: 2022-2024 - Two Year AppointmentSalary: Per Saugerties Teachers' Association ContractPosition FunctionWorks with the Assistant Superintendent in the planning of the District's Professional Development Plan and Superintendent's Conference Days.Essential FunctionsParticipates as a member of the Professional Practice Committee.Faciliates the implementation of the Professional Development Plan through activitities such as scheduling activitites, enlisting and serving as the contact for presenters, securing locations within the district for activities, etc.Ultilize My Learning Plan (or its replacement) to publish and manage in-district professional development activities, including needs surveys, registration, and activity evaluations, with clerical support from the Assistant Superintendent's Office.Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.Additional DutiesPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and other administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
