DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide coverage for all home athletic events and those away events deemed necessary by the Director for Athletics, Phys Ed, Health and Health Services Provide coverage for team practices on a daily basis Assist coaches in developing in and off season conditioning programs for student athletes Provide student athletes with appropriate rehab therapy as prescribed by an appropriate physician and as allowed by NYS Law Assist in the development of an annual budget that reflects the sports medicine needs for all HS teams in the District Assist coaches at all levels in stocking first aid kits with appropriate materials so coaches can provide first aid care Assist parents in making decisions pertaining to appropriate medical care for sports related injuries Assist in the maintenance and log treatment and rehab services provided to student athletes Assist when needed the Office of Athletics with the annual Sports Physical Exam process Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, Phys Ed, Health and Health Services when necessary Must have effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with the building Principal, Supervisor, District Admins, colleagues, coaches, District employees, students and community members.
