POSITION: ISS Teacher Assistant (High School)EFFECTIVE DATES: 2023- 2024 School Year APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 29, 2023COMPENSATION: $27, 250 - $29,004 based on educational level per the SCTA Techer Assistant ContractMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Valid NYS Teacher Certification preferredValid Teacher Assistant Certification Level I, II or III required(if not already certified as a Teacher) TEACHER ASSISTANT POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist and/or carry out lesson plans and modify instructional materials based upon the directions provided by the teacher.• Provide support for behavioral interventions and restorative justice practices.• Assist and implement in adapting instructional strategies and materials as directed by the Individualized Educational Plan.• Use strategies that promote the learner’s independence as directed.• Complete activities as directed by building administration.• Keep records as needed.• Follow instructions of classroom teacher and administrators.• Proficient in Communication skillsPlease note that the position(s) listed are contingent on the 2023-2024 school budget.
