TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant, Special Education, Elementary School (Full-Time, Probationary) Available: August 30, 2023 for the 2023-2024 school year Qualifications:Valid NYS Teaching Assistant or Teacher certification (required).Strong background in working with students with disabilities at the elementary age level.Experience working with students requiring consistent implementation and revision of academic and behavioral plans/interventions/strategies.Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instruction.Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 academic and behavioral support to a 5th grade student.Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students; encourage student participation.Work collaboratively with the 5th Grade Teaching Team.
