PUPIL PERSONNEL VACANCY Position: Psychologist, Secondary School (Part-Time, 0.6 FTE, Leave Replacement) Available: August 30, 2023 - November 23, 2023 on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday Schedule (Dates subject to change) Qualifications:Valid NYS School Psychologist certification (required)Previous experience as a School Psychologist and/or CSE Chairperson (preferred)Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:Current knowledge of best practices in educating students with disabilities in inclusive school environmentsThorough knowledge of current federal and states regulations governing CSE, Section 504 and Part 200Highly effective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with parents, teachers, students and other school district personnel; ability to multitask, adapt and manage multiple prioritiesExperience in crisis interventionKnowledge of IEP Direct Serve as a resource and consultant on mental health issues Provide individual/group counseling for classified and non-classified high school studentsAdminister and interpret psychoeducational evaluations; strong diagnostic skills requiredDevelop and implement FBA and BIP’sAttend CSE/Section 504 meetings, e.g. update IEP’s in compliance with NYSWork as a member of the Special Services Team.
