Duties/Responsibilities : Mows lawns, trims hedges, reseeds and fertilizes lawns and cares for trees, shrubs and flowers. Removes snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots, driveways, etc. Operates a variety of grounds maintenance equipment. Participates in the maintenance of recreational areas and sports fields. Performs a variety of related grounds maintenance tasks. Candidates must be flexible and TEAM players. Participates in miscellaneous jobs inside buildings during the winter months, as required. Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the accepted procedures and practices of grounds maintenance work. Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions. Physical endurance; good physical condition. Minimum Qualifications: One year of satisfactory experience in grounds maintenance work required. Salary: Commensurate with experience and the Roosevelt Custodial Contract.
