Director of ENL/Bilingual Programs & World Languages K-12 September 2025 PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS: The Director of ENL, Bilingual Programs, and World Languages K-12 is an energetic, dynamic, and student-centered administrator that is a Team Player and has an unwavering focus on student outcomes. This individual is a visible leader, exceptional communicator, promotes creativity, innovation, and supports staff to build expertise and a positive school community environment. This position is in recognition of the need for direction, coordination and supervision of these programs to enable students to progress toward optimum attainment of their educational goals. Must hold NYSED Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL)Experience and/or NYSED Certification in World Languages and/or ESLPromote and provide for a positive, respectful school culture and establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with all staffHave a Growth Mindset and promote Collective Efficacy among staff and facultyBe a visible champion for all Roosevelt students, their families, and District staff to prepare for a successful academic and professional futureCreate a culture of high achievement, social and emotional wellness, and graduation rates through positive interactions with students and their familiesWillingness and initiative to learn and grow professionally and to support District initiativesOversee District Seal of Biliteracy ProgramsAttend and support building, district, and community eventsExpertise in data analysis, cohort trends, gap analysis, etc.Provide strong instructional leadership while actively cultivating highly effective teaching and learning practices.Working knowledge of New York State requirements for ENLManage budget and resources effectively to support instructional and operational goals Acts as District Liaison at designated meetings and conferencesConducts site visits and evaluations/observations of ENL, Bilingual, and World Languages staffAssume responsibility for the accuracy, validity, and interpretation of results from related testing programs Coordinate orientation programs for students and parentsAdvocate for our programs and communicate the benefits to all stakeholdersAct as consultant to building principals in all areas of ENL, Bilingual Programs, & World LanguagesConduct in-service workshops and training development programs for members of the departmentPerform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendents and/or the Superintendent of SchoolsBilingual (Spanish) Preferred.SALARY: Commensurate with Experience and the Roosevelt Administrators Association (RAA) Contract apply for this POSITION by completing a cover letter, resume and application The Roosevelt UFSD is an equal opportunity employer.
