The Ridgefield Public Schools are seeking a full time Elementary Assistant Principal commencing for the 2024-25 school year. The Elementary Assistant Principal assists the elementary principal with special education, teacher evaluation as well as overall support to the school. The successful candidate should have:Kindness, intelligence, creativity, and a sense of humor.Eligibility for Connecticut certification as an Intermediate Administrator. Endorsement 92.A record of superior performance as a teacher and evidence of successful school leadership.A strong academic record, both undergraduate and graduate.Substantial knowledge of elementary curricula.Substantial knowledge of special education laws and procedures.Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, administrators and the community.A steady composure, grace under pressure and a willingness to try new things.
