Rondout Valley Central School District is seeking a Behavior Analyst for a leave replacement to begin mid-November 2025 through June 30, 2026. This is a district-wide position. However, the primary assignment will be at the district’s two elementary schools.General Responsibilities:The Behavior Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating behavioral interventions and supports for students with special needs. Key duties include:Designing and implementing positive behavioral supports, contextual strategies, and intervention plansConducting functional behavioral assessments and direct observations of students and their learning environmentsDeveloping and monitoring behavior support/intervention plans to promote positive student outcomesProviding staff and parent training in applied behavior analysis and proactive behavior strategiesSupporting school teams and administrators in executing effective behavior instruction and intervention practicesCollecting and analyzing baseline and progress-monitoring data to evaluate student outcomesParticipating in interdisciplinary team meetings related to behavioral planning and reviewPreparing written behavioral summaries and documentation to assist educators and administratorsOffering guidance for one-to-one support personnel when neededEngaging in professional development and research to maintain current best practicesMaintaining required records and reports regarding behavioral concerns and student progressThe role is performed with considerable independent judgment under the general supervision of an administrative supervisor.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited or NYS-registered college or university in:Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related fieldTwo (2) years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience working with individuals with special needsWithin that experience, at least one (1) year must include:Conducting functional behavioral assessmentsImplementing behavioral interventions and/orDeveloping behavior support plansCertification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst — (BCBA, BCBA-D, or BCaBA)NYSed Fingerprint Clearance Salary: Per ContractWork Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am - 3:40pmAdditional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
