RONDOUT VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Full-Time K-3 Technology Education Teacher to be split between Marbletown Elementary School and Kerhonkson Elementary School Qualifications: NYS teacher certification required, Technology Education K-12 or Early Childhood Education B-2 AND Childhood Education 1-6 Salary: Per Contract General Responsibilities: Promote a positive learning environment that includes behavioral management techniques appropriate to the needs of all studentsPlan, develop, and evaluate lessons that integrate the New York State Technology Education Learning Standards with core curriculum, particularly math and science.Build keyboarding skills for students in grades 2-3 and support teachers as they prepare for computer based testing in ELA and Math.Teach internet safety including personal responsibility for technology use.Keep abreast of developments in the technology field by reading literature/journals, talking with colleagues, professional development, and attending conferences.Maintain and monitor student usage of computer lab equipment and monitor internet usage for students as outlined by District policy.Collaborate with the building principal on technology updates. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the computer lab materials Perform duties assigned by the administration in accordance with district policies, practices, and procedures and the negotiated agreement Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE (10 Month), Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:40pm Additional Duties: New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards implementation at the Elementary Level.
