The Rome City School District is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Speech-Language Pathologist. The selected candidate will provide speech and language therapy services to students, evaluate and diagnose communication disorders, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Responsibilities: The Speech-Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student growth and achievement. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, maintaining required documentation, participating in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, and ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and/or appropriate New York State certification (or eligibility for certification/licensure) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills Additional Information: Salary: $54,889 – $90,579, in accordance with the Rome Teachers Association (RTA) Contract Location: Clough Early Elementary Program Position: 10-month school-year appointment Comprehensive benefits package available, including health insurance, retirement benefits, paid leave, and other contractual benefits The Rome City School District is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment where all students can succeed.
