The Rome City School District is seeking a qualified and experienced Substitute School Building Administrator to provide leadership and administrative support on an as needed basis. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth and effective operation of the school, maintain a positive learning environment, and support students, staff, and families in alignment with district policies and goals. Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily school operations and maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment.Supervise and support faculty, staff and students.Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and district administration.Enforce district policies, regulations, and procedures.Manage student discipline and attendance.Support instructional programs and staff development initiatives.Perform other administrative duties as assigned.Qualifications: Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL), School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) Certification is required.Master's degree in Education or a related field.Demonstrated record of prior successful experience in school administration or building-level leadership.Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and work productively with all levels of district staff, students, parents, and the general public.Ability to handle problem situations in a tactful, courteous, and respectful manner.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to effectively serve as a leader and member of a team.Compensation: This is a per diem position with a competitive daily rate of $400.Please upload a letter of interest, resume, copies of certification and 3 professional references.Please contact Kathy Grosso at 315-338-6532 or kgrosso@romecsd.org with any questions.
