The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for Physical Therapists for our Extended School Year (ESY) services from July 17, 2025 - August 15, 2025. The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with children and adolescents with diverse physical abilities and needs. Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives to address students' physical therapy needsProvide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniquesCollaborate with teachers, other related service providers, and parents/guardians to integrate physical therapy goals into the overall educational programMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork in compliance with district policies and state regulationsParticipate in team meetings, including IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings, to discuss student progress, goals, and strategiesAdhere to professional and ethical standards as outlined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and relevant state licensing boardQualifications:Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New YorkCertification in School-Based Physical Therapy preferredExperience working with children and adolescents with diverse physical disabilities and developmental delaysStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
