The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for the position of Administrator for Physical Education and Athletics. This is a full-time 12-month probationary position which includes a regionally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Valid NYS administrative certification (SDA or SDL) is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Five or more years of teaching experience in Physical EducationFive or more years experience in coaching interscholastic athleticsComprehensive understanding of NYS Learning Standards for Physical EducationAbility to engage and work collaboratively with staff, parents, community members, and other stakeholders Strong management, organizational, and problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)PROFESSIONAL DUTIES:Supervise and evaluate athletic coaches in conjunction with Director of AthleticsWork with Director of Athletics to oversee all aspects of District’s athletics program Work with building administrators and department coordinator regarding physical education curriculum development and implementation Conduct observations of physical education teachersDevelop and provide oversight over District’s intramural programsPerform other administrative duties assigned by Superintendent and/or Deputy Superintendent
