ANTICIPATED 2026-2027 Department Chairperson, Social Studies, Probationary DATES: Anticipated start date - August 14, 2026 REQUIREMENTS: SDA, SDL certification Social Studies Teaching experience Prior Administrative experience preferred Proven track record of collaboration and excellent interpersonal communication skills RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee, as well as further develop the implementation of well-articulated social studies curricula through high quality instruction Identify and provide ongoing targeted professional development on current educational research and best practices Promote and continue to grow various instructional practices that are modified and differentiated to meet the needs of individual learners Research, recommend, and assist with implementing innovative elective courses Demonstrate knowledge in mentoring and guiding teachers to develop and expand student research opportunities and programs preferred LOCATION: Middle School/High School (6th-12th Grade) COMPENSATION: Per RASA Contract, $138,375 - $158,375 (commensurate with experience)
