Program Specialist for Technology ExpansionThe Program Specialist for Tech Expansion is a full-time probationary administrative position dedicated to enhancing and supporting instructional technology across the Roslyn School District. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing technology initiatives that support student learning and improve the efficiency and digital literacy of both classroom staff and faculty. The specialist will serve as a key resource for integrating technology effectively into the curriculum and administrative processes.Anticipated Start Date:On or about December 12, 2025 Requirements:Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL), School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS), or School District Administrator (SDA) certification required.Demonstrated success in teaching, student support, or leadership, with a record of fostering student growth and accountability.Strong skills in relationship-building, communication, and organization.Commitment to working collaboratively with the administrative team to foster a supportive school community grounded in high academic achievement and student well-being.Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and community, ensuring that all students feel a strong sense of belonging.Proven capacity to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness.Willingness to work beyond the traditional school day as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support supervision, student events, and school programs.A strong background in implementing AI in an education environmentResponsibilities/Functions:Assist the Assistant to the Superintendent for Technology and Security Infrastructure, with the creation and implementation of education based technology initiativesAssist the Assistant to the Superintendent for Technology and Security Infrastructure, with determining the technology programs to be utilized throughout the district.Assist the Assistant to the Superintendent for Technology and Security Infrastructure in the following areas to ensure compliance with NYS Education Law 2-d:Ensure data security and privacy regulations are in place that are consistent with applicable state and federal lawsIn consultation with the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education, the Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education and the Assistant to theSuperintendent for Technology and Security Infrastructure, coordinate and provide training for all staff on regulationsAnnual training of all district wide staff regarding data security and cybersecurity awarenessAssist with training staff on various testing/CBT platforms such as EVI, BlueBook, Lexmark testing assistant, Nextera, etc.Coordinate and develop necessary technology support for such initiatives with Supervisors (as noted below), including but not limited to, Google Classroom, Google Suite, Google Extensions and other Technologies for all district employees and studentsProvide data support and administrative development including but not limited to :PowerSchool, Power Teacher and Gradebook ProWork collaboratively with the Assistant to the Superintendent for Elementary Education, Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education and the Assistant to the Superintendent for Technology and Security Infrastructure on items related to curriculumProvide technology training to all staff, as neededProgram Specialist shall not evaluate nor supervise any teachers, counselors, psychologists, or social workers in any way (or employees of the technologydepartment)Will report to Superintendent and the Assistant to the Superintendent for Technology and Security InfrastructureWill be supervised by the Assistant to the Superintendent for Technology and Security InfrastructureAll other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, the Assistant to the Superintendent for Technology or his/her designeeCompensation:Salary range from $85,000 - $125,000 (commensurate with experience)
