Teaching Assistant - Hilltop Academy (Roslyn High School)Position Summary:Roslyn High School is seeking a dedicated and organized full time Teacher Assistant to provide academic, behavioral, and logistical support for the Hilltop Academy Alternative program. This role requires: strong communication skills, the ability to manage student records, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and structured learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate with school psychologist and lead teacher to schedule and support student intake visits.Communicate with parents/guardians to schedule screenings and visits.Assist with logistics for two-day visits, ensuring appropriate staff are available.Schedule Annual Reviews and Exit Interviews, coordinating with out of district PPS and outside student placements.Assist with student testing including Regents exams.Support the Hilltop Lead Teacher in coordinating transportation needs for field trips.Attendance Management:Maintain daily attendance records using spreadsheets provided by administration.Submit monthly attendance reports to district administrative assistantCoordinate with the main attendance office, as appropriate.Qualifications:Teacher Assistant Certification required.Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, parents, and students.Dependability, discretion, and a student-centered approach.Compensation:Per RPA Contract (commensurate with experience)Grade 1, Step 1 to Grade 3, Step 5 - $28,5888-$33,897
