The Rocky Point UFSD has an opening for a full-time Director of Health, PE, Athletics and Intramurals for the 2022-2023 school year. Desired qualification of successful candidate will include: Valid SDA and PE K-12 Certifications Previous successful, collaborative experience as an Athletic Director/Director or Chair of PE and Health, and administrative experience preferred Demonstrated evidence of professional growth and development Expertise in effective, innovative instruction, professional development, teacher recruitment and selection, and supervision and evaluation of instructional and non-instructional staff Supervision and evaluation of interscholastic and intramural athletics programs and equipment management Proven knowledge of NYS K-12 Physical Education and Health Standards and Assessments, instructional programs, curriculum development, and data analysis Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as instructional and administrative technology skills RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as an exemplary K-12 instructional leader and master teacher Oversee all physical education and health instruction, staff and facilities Supervise school health services and associated staff including securing substitute coverage for nursing staff Coordinate use of school facilities Nurture the development and success of all children Carry out, support and complement district mission, goals and initiatives Supervision and evaluation of instructional, non-instructional and coaching staff Work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and community Lead the development, coordination, supervision and evaluation of the physical education, health education, interscholastic and intramural athletics programs Serve as District Emergency Management Coordinator Oversee districtwide substance abuse prevention, education and support services and associated staff and activities Chair Health and Safety Committee Participate as an active member of the Wellness CommitteeSALARY: Compensation commensurate with experience & qualificationsAPPLY: Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, résumé, copy of certification(s), unofficial transcripts and a list of professional references, including immediate supervisors, via OLAS no later than June 27, 2022 to Susann Crossan, Assistant Superintendent, Rocky Point Union Free School District.
