The Rockville Centre Union Free School District is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Science, Mathematics, and Technology to lead our efforts in enhancing instructional practices and curriculum development within these critical areas. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and will be instrumental in driving our district's high standards in academic excellence and preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the K-12 Science, Mathematics, and Technology curriculum.Collaborate with teachers, principals, and district administrators to design and deliver effective professional development aligned with current best practices and NYS learning standards.Analyze student performance data to identify areas of need and develop targeted improvement plans.Foster a responsive and inclusive curriculum that is reflective of our student population.Support the integration of technology in the classroom to enhance learning and teaching experiences.Ensure alignment of the district's curriculum with NYS learning standards and instructional frameworks.Mentor and support teachers in the implementation of innovative instructional practices.Coordinate with external partners, including higher education institutions, to bring additional resources and expertise to the District.Manage the budget for the Science, Mathematics, and Technology departments, ensuring efficient use of resources.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, Technology, or a related field.Valid NYS certification in District Level Administration.Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in Science, Mathematics, or Technology.Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and instructional practices.Experience in designing and delivering professional development for educators.Strong understanding of NYS learning standards and instructional frameworks.Proven ability to analyze data to inform instructional decisions.Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Please submit a cover letter, resume, copy of certifications, unofficial transcripts and list of professional references to the attention of Mr. John J.
