The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and social-emotional challenges, and will provide high-quality nursing care within an educational setting.Typical duties include assisting with student health screenings, providing first aid and emergency care, administering medications, and maintaining required health records. The nurse also monitors chronic conditions and may provide one-on-one services to support students with disabilities. The role requires strong nursing knowledge, skill in applying nursing practices, familiarity with NYS school health regulations, and the ability to interpret policies, follow instructions, communicate effectively, maintain accurate records, and work well with students, staff, and families.Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a valid license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
