Rockland 21C is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to ensure the optimal development of each child in Rockland County by developing a comprehensive support system that links family, school, and community together.Rockland 21C is dedicated to supporting children and families through school-based Family Resource Centers, community schools, and an early childhood home visiting program. We work in close partnership with school districts, community organizations, and families to build a supportive network that promotes family well-being and optimal development of children.Position - Executive DirectorPosition SummaryThe Executive Director is the chief executive officer of the organization, responsible for providing strategic leadership, managing day-to-day operations, ensuring financial sustainability, building partnerships, and working closely with the Board of Directors to fulfill the organization’s mission.Key Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership and strategic planning for long-term growth and impact. Oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality programs and services aligned with the organization's mission. Ensure operational efficiency by developing and implementing organizational systems, processes, and policies. Lead, mentor, and support staff to maintain a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the finance committee; ensure sound financial practices and compliance. Monitor and analyze financial reports to guide decision-making and ensure fiscal health. Oversee grants management, reporting, and contract compliance. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with funders, community partners, school districts, and government agencies. Lead fundraising efforts including grant writing and donor stewardship. Partner with the Board of Directors to support planning and strategic priorities.Qualifications Master’s degree required in nonprofit management, education, public administration, social work, or related fields. Minimum 5–7 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit or public sector. Demonstrated experience with grant writing, financial oversight, nonprofit and staff management. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
