Rockland BOCES has an immediate opening in our Adult Education program. POSITION: Adult Education Instructor –Rockland Works Gun Violence Prevention Grant Funded ProgramResponsibilities:Manages the Gun Violence Prevention (GCP) Grant Program that provides employment and training related services to 225 youth ages 18-24 living in Spring Valley, NYMonitors program sites located throughout Rockland County to confirm that they are on track to meet performance measures and maintain accountabilitySupervises intake and thorough assessment of individual student needs and ensures the development of a service plan (ISS) to address barriers to education and job-readinessOversees the accurate documentation of services provided to students across various youth programsCollects and inputs data for each site into tracking system, as well as, provides updates and weekly reporting to the Program DirectorAttends regular sessions with immediate supervisor and staff meetings, as well as, any other agency-related activities or program-related meetings offsiteCompletes regular monthly and statistical reports and fulfills reporting requirements as defined by the Department of LaborDevelops and maintains good communication with other programs and BOCES divisions to facilitate intra-agency referrals and collaborationMonitors program to maintain alignment with general rules and regulations relating to GVP, WIOA and the Rockland Works programs, policies, and procedures CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field such as School Counseling, School Psychology, Education, or Social Work required. NYSED certification in the areas listed or Adult Education certification required. Experience in the Workforce Development field is a plus.
