Rockland BOCES has an immediate opening in our Adult Education department.POSITION: Coordinator of Adult and Dislocated Worker Services for the Rockland County Career Center Grant Funded Program DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Plans and conducts outreach; develops contacts in the community for cross-referral and interagency collaborationFacilitates curriculum opportunities for adult/dislocated worker employment programAssesses individual client’s needs and insures the development of a service plan to address barriers to education and job-readinessAccurately document services provided to clients across various adult programs (OSOS), including work readiness training, workforce literacy programs, vocational courses, high school equivalency programming, and on-the-job training/work based learningCompletes regular monthly and statistical reportsDevelops and maintains good communication with other programs and BOCES divisions to facilitate intra-agency referrals and collaborationMonitors program to maintain alignment with general rules and regulations relating to WIOA and the Rockland County Career Center programs, policies, and proceduresOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field such as School Counseling, School Psychology, Education, or Social Work preferred. NYSED certification in the areas listed or Adult Education certification required. Experience in the Workforce Development field is a plus. Bilingual and Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
