Start Date: July 1, 2026 Salary: Commensurate with Experience and Collective Bargaining Agreement Terms of Employment: Probationary Appointment / 12-month position Reports to: Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and the Superintendent of Schools Job Summary: The Director of Secondary Education is a district level position that reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and the Superintendent of Schools. The Director of Secondary Education shall have general responsibility for all aspects of the development, implementation, and update of secondary education curriculum. S/he will supervise all secondary educational programs and services and work closely with the building administrators and department coordinators to implement the programs. Qualifications: State Education Department Certification - SDA or SDL Minimum of five years’ administrative experience, with Central Office level work preferred Ability to effectively manage time and fiscal resources Excellent verbal and written communication skills Extensive knowledge of secondary programs Extensive knowledge of differentiated instruction and instructional strategies Demonstrated use of data and research focused on improving student achievement Knowledge and effective use of technology in instruction, management, and communication Demonstrates experience in building partnerships and resources and a willingness to work with various community partners Strong and collaborative leadership with an honest, transparent, and inclusive style that supports high student outcomes and educational excellence Leverages deep knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to improve student learning Willingness to learn and grow professionally Knowledge about the implementation and supervision of the APPR process Knowledge and understanding on building master schedules Knowledge of grants and grant writing Applications Deadline: March 20, 2026 All qualified applicants must apply through OLAS at www.pnwboces.org/olas Letter of interest and resume must be addressed to the attention of Dr. Vincent K.
