POSITION: Athletic Trainer (11 month)SALARY: $58,000.00 / AnnualSTART DATE: July 1, 2025JOB SUMMARY: The Riverhead Central School District is seeking a certified, committed and dynamic Athletic Trainer to join our middle school and high school athletics departments. The Athletic Trainer supports the health, safety, and well-being of our student-athletes across all interscholastic sports.Reporting directly to the Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics, the Athletic Trainer will be an integral part of our department, providing injury prevention and emergency care, working closely with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals. The role requires flexibility, with coverage expected Monday through Saturday, including some non-instructional days, based on scheduled practices and competitions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services for student-athletes.Maintain accurate medical records and injury documentation.Coordinate with physicians and healthcare professionals on injury management and return-to-play decisions.Attend practices, games, and team events as assigned.Assist in planning and implementing conditioning and injury prevention programs.Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper care of athletic training equipment.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field Valid NYS Athletic Trainer LicenseCPR/AED and First Aid CertifiedExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsPREFERENCES:Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related fieldPrevious experience working with high school or collegiate athletesAll interested applicants may apply on OLAS by June 20, 2025.
