Anticipated District-wide: K-1 Early Interventionist Literacy Coach(FTE = 0.4 or 2 days per week), February 1, 2024 - June 26, 2024Job Overview: We seek a part-time (0.4), passionate, experienced Early Literacy Interventionist Coach to join our dedicated Rhinebeck team. As an Early Literacy Interventionist Coach, you will be crucial in supporting educators and students in developing foundational solid literacy skills. This position requires a deep understanding of early literacy interventions, effective coaching techniques, and collaborating with teachers to implement evidence-based practices.Responsibilities:Design and deliver professional development sessions for educators focused on early literacy intervention strategies, instructional methods, and best practices.Stay current with research and advancements in early literacy education to inform and enhance the implementation of instructional and coaching practices.Provide one-on-one and small group coaching to teachers to support the implementation of effective early literacy interventions.Model instructional strategies, observe classroom practices, and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching methods.Collaborate with educators to analyze student data and assessments to identify literacy strengths and challenges.Use data to inform and guide the development of targeted intervention plans for individual students or groups.Develop and curate instructional resources, materials, and tools to support educators in implementing evidence-based early literacy interventions.Create and share resources that align with the specific needs of diverse learners.Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and other support staff to create a cohesive and comprehensive early literacy intervention program.Foster a positive and collaborative school culture that prioritizes literacy development.Qualifications:Master’s degree in Education, Literacy, or a related field.More than five years of teaching certification and relevant experience in early childhood or elementary education. Knowledge of evidence-based early literacy interventions and instructional strategies.Data-informed mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret student performance data.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.Salary Range: $328.00 - $531.00 per day (pro-rated, per diem).
