Interim Director of Technology and Communication2023-2024 School YearTo manage and direct the administrative aspects of technology district-wide in support of District operations, technology infrastructure, and staff productivity.Applicants for this position will possess the knowledge, abilities, skills, and demonstrated competencies to:Develop a district technology vision, with plans and timelines to implement new technical projects to support and sustain that vision;Identify, promote, and facilitate the development of technology competencies in classroom and office settings;Review and provide technology specifications for the development of technology purchases through budget, grant, and e-rate appropriations, as appropriate;Oversee network infrastructure administration and maintenance; including VOIP phone system, website, and copiers;Supervise the planned purchase, installation, deployment, management and maintenance of all technology hardware and software;Establish and maintain an effective system of technology-based communication within the organization, with the local community, and beyond using the school website and social media as applicable; Supervise the technology department; andCoordinate staff development in support of technology integration in all classrooms and in administrative functions across the district.Applicants must be eligible and highly qualified for employment in NY K-12 schools.To apply, submit a letter of interest, resume, and supporting documentation, including all relevant certifications and endorsements, by August 1, 2023, preferably through OLAS, or mail to:Mr. Albert Cousins, Rhinebeck Central School District Superintendent of SchoolsP.O.
