General Statement: Valid NYS certification as a School Psychologist, School Social Worker or Special Education Teacher is requiredExperience working with children/adolescents with a variety of psychiatric and/or behavioral disorders Experience developing Functional Behavioral Assessments, positive behavioral supports Experience working with staff and administrators on interventions to support student behavior Responsibilities:Conduct student consultations to inform behavior support practicesDesign, implement and monitors behavior programs for students Prepare written reports, as needed by the district to outside psychiatric professionals/community agencies re: behavioral concerns of students with or without disabilitiesConduct classroom observations to support behavior related management & instructionProvide consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of behavioral needs of students with and without disabilitiesPossess the ability to conduct functional behavioral assessments and design, implement and monitor behavior intervention plansPrepares reports for the CSE on the results of Functional Behavioral Assessments including recommendations for Behavioral Improvement PlansServes as a member of the CSE for students with behavioral concernsProvide teacher-coaching & support related to classroom managementCollect & analyze data to inform behavioral practices across the districtOther duties as assignedLocation: Lansingburgh CSD / Rensselaer City School District
