Anticipated Vacancy starting 7/1/26 - The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered environment where all learners can thrive. The Assistant Director of Student Support Services provides leadership and supervision of student support services at the elementary level while working collaboratively with staff across the entire district. This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuity of services, alignment of practices, and a cohesive approach to meeting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs from early childhood through graduation. The position partners with district and building leaders, faculty, and related service providers to strengthen systems of support and ensure high-quality, compliant, and equitable programming for all students. Key Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support for elementary special education programs and related service providers (e.g., psychologists, counselors, speech, OT/PT) Ensure implementation and compliance of IEPs, 504 Plans, and intervention supports, with a primary focus on the elementary level Collaborate with staff across all buildings to ensure alignment and continuity of student support practices districtwide Serve as the Chairperson for the Special Education Department and lead Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) meetings. Support and participate in CSE/CPSE processes, including transitions from CPSE to school-age programs Work with elementary and secondary administrators to strengthen MTSS frameworks and intervention systems Promote developmentally appropriate behavioral supports, PBIS, and social-emotional learning initiatives Analyze student data to inform decision-making and program development across the district Assist in districtwide planning, compliance monitoring, and program evaluation Support crisis response and student wellness initiatives across schools Other duties as assigned Qualifications Valid New York State administrative certification in School District Administration (SDA/SDL) Certification in Special Education, School Psychology, School Counseling, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in student support services or special education Strong knowledge of NYSED regulations (IDEA, Section 504, Part 200) Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills Salary Range: $85,000 - 100,000 (based on experience) RCS prefers an online application via OLAS.
