The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher to join our team at RCS High School. This position will start immediately and go through June 30, 2027. The successful candidate will support the academic, social, and individual needs of students while working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and administrators to promote student success. Key Responsibilities Provide specially designed instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Differentiate instruction to meet a variety of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success in inclusive settings. Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment. Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators. Participate in CSE meetings and assist with the implementation and development of IEPs, as appropriate. Follow all District procedures and applicable state and federal special education requirements. Qualifications New York State certification in Special Education/Students with Disabilities. Preferred candidates will have dual secondary certification in Social Studies
