The RCS Central School District is looking for a full-time probationary Instructional Technology and Elementary Teacher to provide circulation and maintenance of library materials for research and literary enjoyment, and to create a learning environment that promotes collaborative, inquiry-based opportunities for students and staff members. Provide instruction, training, and resources to facilitate the transformative integration of technology in classrooms throughout the RCS District. Serve as a liaison among the teachers, administrators, and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. This position will support both A.W. Becker Elementary and Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary schools. Main Roles and Responsibilities:• Create, implement and support school-wide circulation & book exchange;• Support classroom teachers by modeling and supporting technology integration and by providing literacy resources; • Management of databases;• Collaborate with: ELA Curriculum Content Specialists (K-5) and Curriculum Content Specialists for Career and Technical Education (CTE); Helpdesk staff members; Middle school and high school librarians; STEAM and enrichment teachers Proper NYS Certification in Childhood Education 1-6 required. Dual certification in either Technology Education or Library Media Specialist preferred. Knowledge and use of a rich array of instructional practices/strategies, along with detailed knowledge and experience with standards-based instruction and assessment best practices preferred.
