RCS is looking for a dynamic Elementary Special Education teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning, creative and engaging in the classroom, and dedicated to helping all students succeed. Candidates should be innovative in practice, have a strong value in school community, and have vision in preparing our students to be lifelong learners. The Successful candidates should be able to:Plan and implement classroom curriculum for students in grades K-5.Delivering interventions as needed; planning, implementing and coordinating IEP programing services, modifications and test accommodations for students with disabilities.Progress monitoring and updating IEP goals; monitoring and updating present levels of performance for students with disabilities; communicate with families, other school staff, school administration, and students on student progress.Create pathways for students to be career and community aware; promoting a strong sense of civic responsibility.Coordinating; communications within the school and with families; attending CSE meetings as required; Attend parent conferences as required; and participate in building initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: NYS- Special Education(B-2,1-6) dual certification in literacy or childhood education preferred.
