STATEMENT:The position reports directly to the Business Administrator, is exempt from the Civil Service Employees Contractual Agreement, and is classified as Exempt and Confidential.JOB DESCRIPTION:1. Compiles and processes the semi-monthly payroll and maintains related employee records.2. Prepares and maintains related payroll reports.3. Meets with new employees and reviews new hire payroll paperwork for completeness and accuracy. Answers all related questions.4. Answers routine employee inquires relative to paychecks, service records, deductions, etc.5. Operates a computer and various other office machines.6. Performs related office duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Candidate must be a high school graduate and have a 2-year degree in Accounting with 1 year of general office experience, preferably working with payroll; or 3 years of general office experience – 1 year of which included working with payroll.2. Ability to make mathematic computations accurately with a calculator.3. Possess general clerical knowledge involving alphabetizing, comparing, checking, counting, answering phones, email, fax, etc.4. Candidate must have the ability to get along well with others, possess excellent organizational skills and good judgement, show initiative, resourcefulness, tact, courtesy, have good communication skills and a neat appearance.5.
