Beginning 9/1/24 - Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a full-time probationary position for an Automotive Services Teacher located at our Robert H. Gibson Technical School in Troy, NY.The Automotive Services program prepares students for entry level jobs in the automotive field. This program provides focused hands-on training as well as classroom instruction suited for diverse learning styles. Students will cover topics such as brake systems, suspension systems, beginning electrical including reading wire diagrams, and engine rebuild. Candidates with experience in the auto industry are encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess or be willing to pursue a NYS teaching certification through the Transitional Certification process in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Operations. Preferred applicants will have vehicle maintenance experience and experience working with high school age students in an educational setting.
