The Questar III BOCES School Improvement Office is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic School Improvement Specialist to join our team! This is a full time probationary position based out of our central office in Castleton, NY with travel expected to local school districts. The Questar III BOCES School Improvement office supports best practices in curriculum and instruction driven by the NYS learning standards, assessments, and current research. Professional Learning is tailored to meet the specific needs of each school district. This is a unique position that will play a pivotal role in achieving team goals and objectives. Key areas of the role are coaching and modeling best practices for classroom teachers; presenting and training on utilization of educational technology; assisting with data coordination, as well as analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data with the goal of providing insights that support student improvement and school district initiatives; assisting with and creating survey tools to various stakeholders to collect feedback and inform decision making.Minimum Qualifications for the position include holding NYS teaching certification, having 5 years of successful teaching experience or experience in an educational setting; proficiency in educational technology software and tools; strong data analysis and interpretation skills; excellent communication and presentation abilities; detail-oriented and skilled in creating data visualization; collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
