Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a full-time probationary Teaching position for our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Heavy Equipment Repair and Operations class located at our Marilyn A. Noonan School in Durham NY. This is a co-teaching model.Experienced automotive mechanics and heavy equipment operators encouraged to apply!The Heavy Equipment Repair and Operations program is designed to teach high school students how to operate and maintain large, construction-related equipment including diagnosing and repairing common issues with diesel engines. Types of equipment may include backhoes, dozers, front end loaders, excavators, and forklifts.?The teacher will meet the needs of diverse learners when providing both classroom and hands-on training.Candidates must possess (or be willing to pursue) a Career and Technical Education Teaching Certificate.A high school diploma and 4 years of appropriate occupational work experience will be needed to begin to qualify.Interested applicants should apply via OLAS or by emailing a resume and cover letter to employment@questar.org.
