Questar III BOCES announces a full-time vacancy for an Assistant Director of Health and Safety Services position located in our Central Office in Castleton, NY. This position will assist the Director of Health and Safety in the development, management and implementation of comprehensive health and safety services. The Assistant Director will ensure that district and BOCES health and safety plans and procedures are consistent with federal and state laws, Rules and Regulations, including, but not limited to OSHA, New York State Department of Labor (DOL) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the New York State Education Department. This position will also assist with the development and implementation of chemical safety standards as they pertain to school laboratory environments and ensure local school agency and BOCES compliance with related Federal and State Law, Rules and Regulations as the BOCES Chemical Hygiene Officer. Manage and supervise related staff as needed.QUALIFICATIONS: EITHER;A)Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in occupational safety and health programming or related field; ORB) Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with an Associate's degree and four years experience as described in (a) above; ORC) Six years of experience as described in (a).Questar III prefers an online application – please apply at www.olasjobs.org/capital.
