The Career Exploration and Work Based Learning Coordinator will lead the expansion of the Career Exploration and Work Based Learning program in the Penn Yan Central School District. The vision for this position and program is to develop a differentiated, interest-based system of career exploration for Penn Yan Academy students to explore individual student interests to ensure that all students reach their full potential toward college, trade school and technical training, or career goals. The Career Exploration and Work Based Learning Coordinator’s time will be split between on-campus program development and off-campus work site visits connected to job shadowing, internships, partner sites/workplaces, student employment opportunities, and more. The Career Exploration and Work Based Learning Coordinator will develop career exploration opportunities in support of individual student career plans, CDOS aspirations, and/or intervention plans developed in partnership with PYA School Counselors and Administration. The Career Exploration and Work Based Learning Coordinator reports directly to the PYA Assistant Principal.Minimum QualificationsProfessional certification in one of the following fields: Education, School Counseling, Human Development or other related fields.
